The Bournemouth Waterpolo teams regularly train on Tuesday nights (9pm to 10pm). However, for no added cost you can come down at 8:30pm and join in with the swimming training. It all happens at Stokewood.
If you can swim and would like to participate in a challenging team sport - then have a go at water polo. Our training sessions will improve your health, stamina and agility. Oh, and it's fun as well.
We organise mini-polo for those youngsters that want to try it out, a junior team, a mixed second team for beginners (all ages), as well as the Ladies' and Men's first team.
All teams are entered into a variety of leagues and competitions, which means everyone will get a chance to play competitively.
We also encourage all players to strive towards county level water polo. What could be better than to play for Dorset? So as you can see, everybody is welcome.
The Bournemouth water polo teams can be found training at the Stokewood Leisure Centre, Bournemouth.

Bournemouth Through to Next Round

Bournemouth managed to keep the goal difference below 5 when they recently met Southampton City, in the Hampshire knockout tournament.
The game was much closer, up until the fourth quarter when Southampton, in a do or die tactic, pushed hard to increase the goal difference.
The Hampshire knock-out is a weighted tournament allowing for a wide range of teams to participate competitively.
Bournemouth's new player, David (from Spain), was the main scorer with a good display. However, in an interview after the game, David indicated that he thought his defensive play needed more improvement.
Bournemouth's player-coach Antonio was quoted as saying "The team seemed to play better when ever I was not in the water."
Connor, a left hander, was unhappy with his shooting, but has been bedding into the team well and hopefully this level of play will only help to improve Connor in stature.
John-Paul and Will, two of Bournemouth's junior players, earned their first caps, so well done to them.
Jamie, Southampton captain is quoted as saying "Thanks for the game on Tuesday - good match".
Hello everyone and welcome to the new season at Bournemouth Water Polo. The training sessions will start on the 6th September. We had a good season last year, as our play was much more organised. This year's aims will be to build on the basic structure and begin to develop some more complex attacking strategies.
Your team coach has been on a Water Polo Balance course, so I'm sure he'll be keen to try out some of the new training techniques.
So, get yourself down to the pool so we can get the fitness levels back up ready for the first round of games sometime in November.

Fred Fowler, one of the regions most prolific waterpolo activists recently put togther an article which describes the South West waterpolo structure. I recommend that everyone intersted in regional waterpolo have a read as it is a very informative article.
